New Bolts!

Recommended Posts

Bob,

Very nice! Your unique manufacturer mark will be deeply appreciated by collectors in the many years to follow. I would assume many of these bolts will end up in your blank guns.

To those that own an M1 West Hurley Thompson gun, you need to check your bolt and see if a World War II manufacturer mark is present. If no World War II mark is present, then your bolt is most likely an AOC West Hurley manufactured bolt. If so, it most likely does not conform to GI specifications. One of Bob's new bolts would make an excellent replacement.

The head on the blank gun bolt is 0.100" longer than the head of an original bolt.

There is a corresponding extra 0.100" on the front face of the bolt pocket so that if

someone tried to fit an original bolt into the blank gun receiver, the head would not

reach far enough forward to fire a cartridge.
