buzz Posted July 23, 2014 Report Share Posted July 23, 2014 I'm looking for an original M1A1 rear sight to the replace the lyman ladder sight that was put on my savage M1A1 when the gun was rebuilt at RIA. I'm going to have the sight parkerized to match the gun so the finish condition on the sight is not so important. emmagee1917 Posted July 24, 2014 Report Share Posted July 24, 2014 Little hint .Bolt sight on and shoot it . You can then remove it to put in vise to bend the peep up / down to sight in . You can do this by changing the location of the bend at the bottom and how quickly it goes vertical . Once sighted in , you can finish and rivet.I did mine after it was on the gun . It was doable with lots of tape , tools , and going very slow and cautious . A sighted in gun is much easier to hit with.Chris Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
