WTK Shooting Reising m50 vs m55 model

I've shot both and still own a M50. Short answer, if you are looking for optimal accuracy and control, keep it in the full stock. The folding wire stock does make a difference IMO due to the lighter overall weight and smaller contact area to the cheek and shoulder. Depending on how you hold the stock, it is possible to unintentionally pull the stock out of the clamp area.

I don't have enough experience to speak to differences in overall reliability, but it would be easier to damage the wire stock.

If you own an original M55 keep it in it's factory configuration! They are pretty rare and quite hard to come by ( it took me years to find mine) . If you wanna know the shooting differences between the two buy an M50 or find someone who owns one to shoot. I'm sure they would be thrilled to shoot your M55. Todd in Oregon

I've owned and shot both . The m50 is far more comfortable to shoot than the wire stocked m55 . Put the m55 in a wood m50 stock and they are basically the same , One important note . with the m55 in an m50 stock you don't have to fret about blowing a comp slot .
