Robert Henley
My C&R MP40 BNZ41. Bought it from the 72 year old son of the WWII vet who brought it home. All matching except for the bolt. Bolt in gun is 9825. With total MP40 production of 869,792, it's 1 in 869,792 odds of finding the original bolt. However, perhaps another collector has it in 9825 or it's in a parts kit. Let me know if you have it. According to Frank's excellent book, Blitzkrieg, it's a Third Variation with the hook-style bolt handle which is "very rare." It's a nice original gun. Test fired at time of purchase, and ran "like a top." Robert. Edited October 11, 2017 by Robert Henley
Petroleum 1
Good looking battlefield gun. Interesting that it has the latest version ribbed mag well but older style receiver with the hook bolt handle and no closed safety cutout. BTW I have a Wilson gun in jail right now and it has the hook style bolt handle. Maybe your bolt is in there !! ha I will check some day when I get it. Wow that would be a long shot wouldn't it
TSMGguy
All bnz41 MP-40s were produced without the sliding safety. It was a later modification that few guns escaped. Looks great, congratulations!

Yes, I-10 between Jacksonville and Pensacola. The traffic is behind me as I'm on the firing line.
