Have No Knowledge of this Seller Nor The Gun But Thought it may be of Interest to the group.

For purposes of posterity, i loaded the pictures into imageshack, a hosting service. Then i pasted the links in Forum Code into

this thread. Then the pictures are big compared to a picture from your desktop and they will remain in this thread for posterity.

Looks all original but percentage of finish is disappointing

Lower is discolored and both show lots of wear.

 

I wonder what it would appraise at??

I had my Gordon book out for something else this morning, so I looked up your number. It says the following for #1897:

 

"21A Found with 21 barrel and no sight. Re-blue, with 28 barrel. Private collection, 1992."

The early 3 digit 21As are very desirable but any 65% to 70% Colt's with wood issues at $55,000 is a stretch in my opinion. Thanks for posting about NO 303.
