Did I Miss Something?

Recommended Posts

I just got a return call from Dottie at Kahr Arms replying to my request to return my second "L" drum. Mine won't function properly, top is too tight, rotar scrubs the sides of the drum, etc.

When I told her it was for a full auto TSMG she said to send it back, that they will not work in a full auto gun by design; when I ask her why she said that Kahr didn't want the liability.

Does she know what she is talking about? If so, why bother with a "C"?

Hmmm...just made an emergency call on this one and my sources indicate that this in not so and that the C drum will be engineered to run in full auto. Don't know why you were told that. Perhaps just to try to cover up on some of the L drums not working in full auto. That was a suprise.

Guys,

In Indiana on Sunday with a few board members I tried out the 3rd attempt by Kahr to send me an L drum that worked, and had a decent finish. Well the third time was a charm. We put about 200 rds of Wolf through it and it ran w/o out a miss; all on FA !!! I keep looking for that ellusive semi-auto switch on mine and none seem to have that.

Dottie must be as mistaken about them running on FA as she was when she told me that only 3% of the new L drums have been returned. In fairness, I suppose that could be true if they sold 1.3 million drums.

Keep sending them back until they get it right and make sure to get the "free UPS shipping" account number. Good luck !!

Even though his gun is a full-auto, maybe he needs Kahr's new "third hand" drum installation device.....

Fellas,

Just got back from a shoot and event he modified Kahr drums wouldn't run right- Had to wind it all the way-it would run 15 rounds-wond it some more then it would finish it. THe Savage mag catch would not hold it very well either but I didn't see it as the problem at all as the drum didn't move and rounds were still stripped...

Now the Seymour I used dumped everytime and the mag catch properly met the drum- with one winding- Think this is the only way I am going with L's.

Replace all the WH with Savage and it was indeed smooth to shoot.
