Recommended Posts

I have several Thompson paper items available for sale, as listed below. I accept PayPal, and also checks or money orders, with appropriate consideration. Shipping will usually be by USPS Media Mail, and shipping costs are listed for each item. I can determine combined postage for multiple purchases. For Ohio purchasers, I must collect your local sales tax.

1. --SOLD-- Roger Cox book, "The Thompson Submachine Gun," published in 1982. This book includes the dustcover, which has many tape repairs, and which I have placed in a Brodart library quality protective dustcover. It also has a name written inside the front cover. The binding on this one is in excellent shape. These books often have bindings that are separating from the hardcover, but this one is not. Price is $210, plus $3.86 USPS Media Mail shipping. --SOLD--

5. --SOLD-- Colt's The Arm of Law and Order Catalog, 1926 (A-70-4th), 40 pages. It measures 5 11/16" x 7 3/4", and is in good (minus) condition, with edge chipping, small marks, and light creases. Colt never featured the Thompson Submachine Gun in any of its catalogs, because it was an Auto-Ordnance product that Colt built, but they did mention it in two different style catalogs, and also in a Colt Centennial publication. This is the 1926 Catalog where on the last page, under products, it lists "Thompson Submachine Guns." That is the only mention of the Thompson. After the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in 1929, Colt distanced itself from the Thompson, and no longer mentioned it as a product they manufactured. Price is $50, plus $2.80 USPS Media Mail shipping. --SOLD--

6. Colt's The Arm of Law and Order Catalog, 1928 (A-70-10th), 45 pages. It measures 5 11/16" x 7 3/4", and is in fair condition, with edge chipping, edge splitting along the spine, creases, and colored pencil writing on the front cover, and ink writing on the inside. The back also has two pieces missing, as can be seen in the photo. Colt never featured the Thompson Submachine Gun in any of its catalogs, because it was an Auto-Ordnance product that Colt built, but they did mention it in two different style catalogs, and also in a Colt Centennial publication. This is the 1928 Catalog where on page 42, under products, it lists "Thompson Submachine Guns." That is the only mention of the Thompson. After the St. Valentine's Day Massacre in 1929, Colt distanced itself from the Thompson, and no longer mentioned it as a product they manufactured. Price is $40, plus $2.80 USPS Media Mail shipping.

7. --SOLD-- Colt Automatic Pistol, Caliber .45 Government Model Instruction Manual, (M-50-R), circa 1920. It measures 3 7/8" x 8 1/4", and is in fair (minus) condition, but is fully intact, and demonstrates honest use. There is one spot where something stuck to one of the pages, and pulled the print off the spot on the facing page. One page is quite dark. I have attempted to show the overall condition with the photos I have posted below. This is an awesome vintage manual that was distributed with early commercial M1911 pistols. While not Thompson related, it was distributed at the same time that Colt manufactured the TSMG, and it fires the same cartridge. Price is $100, plus $2.80 USPS Media Mail shipping. Don't let this one slip by...These are difficult to find. --SOLD--
