M2 Carbine Goes Full Auto in Semi Position

I have purchased this recently. The semi position gives intermittent full auto fire. Can someone give me a direction?

The selector works by moving the rocker arm . The rocker arms works by the slide pushing down on the front and raising the block on the rear . This moves the sear and releases the hammer .

Check parts for wear or chipped edges . Then look hard at the rocker and it's fit along it's length . Is it bent or binding against a surface ? Trigger guard ? Receiver ? Slide ? Is the slide forcing the rocker down too far in semi ?

Before swapping out parts, make sure it is not the recoil spring or ammo problem.Make sure the bolt goes all the way to the rear and you are not getting hammer follow. If it resets every time when running it manually, then it is probably short stroking and the hammer is following the bolt.

The hammer drops occasionally when the bolt is manually released. The pin that goes through the sear seems to be a little loose and I suspect it being replaced. Could some movement there cause my problem?

Yes , as well as worn hammer or sear surfaces .
