Got Uzi
Im in the beginning process of building a post sample RPD...my question is this-are the barrels pressed and pinned or are they threaded in?
APEXgunparts
The RPD was originally manufactured with the barrels threaded into the receiver.Since the original barrels & receivers were not timed, it can make building one from a kit rather frustrating.SO, most all the semi-auto receivers & builds here in the USA have the barres pressed and pinned in place.I have seen original barrels with the threads turned down ready to fit into a US made receiver. The old Wise Lite Arms built a batch of "post sample" RPD's using Polish kits fitted with pressed in barrels pinned in place.I spoke to a gent at Knob Creek who has shot his quite a bit with no issue.Richard
