copdoc
Supposedly they rebuilt a WWII flamethrower but this is not one. Does anyone recognize the back half? Is this an M3 Disperser or an agricultural sprayer? Looks like a M16 grip and toggle switch on the front end. I did enjoy seeing the vet shoot it. Sorry for bad pics. I used a camera to take a picture from the display. If someone knows how to get a digital copy from youtube it may show up better. http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/IMG_00758.JPG http://www.hunt101.com/data/500/medium/IMG_007413.JPG
dalbert
copdoc, That looks like something they fabricated. Here's what an M3 Chemical Riot Control Agent Disperser wand looks like: http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/MGBoards/TearGas/M3DisperserWand_Web.JPG The image above is from TM 3-1040-214-12, Operator and Organizational Maintenance Manual, Disperser, Riot Control Agent, Portable, M3, February 1972. copdoc
Thanks David The M3 did had a thinner grip. The one they used looked kind of familiar. Their fuel line goes in the rear like the M3 instead of in the side like a US flamethrower. I thought they said they were restoring the Vets WWII flamethrower. It may be some sort of agricultural sprayer with a torch clamped to the front. Did the full episode show any close ups of it being "rebuilt"?
