Grease Gunner
http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/923/bFFg5W.jpghttp://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/1024x768q90/924/u1pExo.jpg I bought a Kahr Lightweight 1927 and had a m1a1 barrel installed and put a horizontal foregrip on it and I love the balance as well as the look. The steel semi auto with 16 inch barrel is butt ugly and a real clunker. But they dont make a lightweight SBR I was thinking of two models, a military one from their m1 and one made from a 1927a1 and installthe short 10 1/2" smooth barrel like many of them had in WW2 when they used M1928's I was thinking I can sell them here at $1300 for the m1 model and 1350 for the 1927a1 model.Brand new guns would be bought for this project. I will sell them on gunbroker for more. It would be a fun project. Of course anyone could do this on a Form 1. This is a gun that Kahr doesnt offer and I think it would go over. Of course a tax stamp would be involved. Here is the process: I purchased barrels and Front sights from Gun Parts Corp and had them installed. regards Haris If anyone has questions or interest, contact me at Haris45@sbcglobal.net FYI: SBR'S Offered Now by Kahr is over 2 grand MSRP for the M1 and almost 2200 for the 1927A1 MSRP I think I can sell them on GB for 1600 to 1800 !!! Bill DeShivs
Wouldn't that require you to be licensed as a manufacturer?
Grease Gunner
I am fully licensed. This one I did jointly with a friend who is a 07 mfr and you can see where his name is engraved on the side above the trigger guard. If I wasnt licensed the gun would be illegal and would be destroyedIt would transfer to your dealer on Form 3 which takes a week lately and then on to you via a Form 4 which is taking 6 months now
