I recently got a Auto Ordnance 1927A1. I'm wondering about a break in period? basically anything a newbie to the Thompson should know..

Also anyone from California too? I'm looking for a few 10 rd mags if anyone can steer me towards a place I can pick up a few.

Thanks...Gary

I'm new to Thompson's too so I don't have any concrete answer but from what I've gleaned so far anywhere from 200-500 rnds seems to be the general consensus. I've put 400 through my TM1C & am forced to give up & send it in due to feeding & firing issues. I haven't seen any recommendation from Kahr on these but I have one of their pistols & they say 200 rnds for break in. It probably varies from one to the next.

I have one of these for both AR 5.56 mags and M1A 7.62 mags. Excellent cra and material.
carries over the should you need to bug out.

EZ pull springs and a buffer will make your Thompson operation easier. I bought an older model AO [West Hurley] with the thought that the bugs would be worked out. It still had the oem springs so I swapped them out and did a buffer. A lot easier to operate the bolt and it feeds my lead rn, rnfp and swc ammo just fine. I recently had deerslayer make mine into a sbr and love it. He does excellent work.
