Value of Thompson Book

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, what do you think this book is worth? It's coming up at a local auction and I'd like to grab it.

$20-$25. This is a reproduction of the 1936 Nassau street catalog, easily spotted as they had the alignment on the cover incorrect. On originals, the trigger intersects the ring, on the reprint, it is offset. Printed in large quantities by Numrich Arms.

If you are into paper items, I suggest buying The Thompson Manuals, Catalogs and Other Paper Items book printed by David Albert and Michael Sig. Both are members of this board and I think David still has some. He's Dalbert on the board.

Hope we saved you some cash. I bet it gets bid much higher than that at a local auction.

Just as a reference point, the actual original of that edition of the catalog is a $75-$125 item depending on condition. Can sometimes be found for less, but not too often. Other variants are typically higher in price. The original 1936 catalogs are great pieces of Thompson history.
