HK91
I know that shooting a Thompson SMG is no big deal to you guys, but it is a lot of fun to me. Last night I met with the seller of the W.H. M1 Thompson SMG that I am buying at the range to exchange my NFA paperwork and money. I asked the seller if he would let me shoot the M1 before I bought it, he agreed and I, along with my father and a friend shot about 300 plus rounds. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif I am absolutely thrilled to own a Thompson MG, but I fear that once I start shooting full auto my semi auto ARs HKs and AUGs will no longer thrill me. Jay Baker
Congratulations on the M1. I have enjoyed mine, though its been a while since I shot it. You're right about not shooting semi's anymore, as a matter of fact, in a couple of months you'll be looking for your next mg. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Lancer
QUOTE (HK91 @ Jun 17 2005, 05:18 PM) I know that shooting a Thompson SMG is no big deal to you guys, but it is a lot of fun to me. HK91 I've had mine for a year and still get the "Tommygun grin" every time I shoot it. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
full auto 45
Do you know what the only thing I enjoy more then shooting my Thompson's? Letting someone else shoot my Thompson's and watching their grin. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif When I go shooting, I only fire maybe a hundred rounds or so myself. All the others are letting someone else shoot them.
First Sergeant
Shooting a Thompson SMG is ALWAY'S a big deal to me !! The last time I shot my A/O 27 Thompson was in 1978, that was the year I bought my first full-auto TSMG. Jay was right, it won't be long before you get the itch for another and then another and then..... Congratulations !!! Chuck
Roland, Headless Thompson Gunner
I guess a good poll quesition might be: "How often do you flip that fire control lever from Full to Single? Or maybe, "How long does it stay there?"
must
When shooting my WH M1 TSMG, I shoot on semi for about 3-4 rounds. After that it is 'ROCK & ROLL' ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
