Grumpy
Hi Gang, It's been awhile that I wrote here on the board. Hope everyone is doing fine. Saw some of the movie The Big House yesterday morning on TCM, but had to leave for work just when the good part started! After the prisoners broke into the armory, Wallace Beery was carrying what looked like a 1921 with some kind of telescopic sight on it. Could this be a set-up the marksmen used to shoot around the actors? What do you guys think? Bill
gijive
I posted a picture of the gun from the movie several months ago. The consensus is that it was a Hollywood concoction dreamed up by the prop department.

gijive
Bill, I think I just recently deleted it from my computer, unfortunately. I know I took it out of my AOL FTP space wher it was posted for a few months. I'll try to find it again and send you a copy. Bill, I just located it. Send me your private email address through the Board link and I'll send you a copy.
