Hi guys just wanted to brag about P Krogh work at Diamond K. I sent my Kahr M1 semi auto to Paul about three months ago to have the mag catch changed to accept the regular mags not the ones from Kahr. From the get go Paul was very helpful and polite about getting my Thompson out to Colorado. When he recieved the gun he changed the catch and made sure everything worked on the gun properly, he even called to let me know how things were going. As soon as it was done I got it back pronto. Now fast forward to yesterday 17 July 2003. I finally got a chance to shoot my Thompson at the range. I shot 1,000 rounds of seller & belloit ammo through it and it ran perfect, no failures to feed, no broken extractors nothing just smooth shooting that made for a fun day. If you are wondering who you should send your Thompson to because it is messing up send it to Paul he knows what he is doing. Once again I want to thank Diomand K for a job well done. Hello everyone,

I would also like to put in a good word For PK. I sent him a WH28 that I bought new in 1977. Had fired approx. 10,000 rounds through it. I always thought it ran OK but the difference now is like night and day. He took the gun completely apart and reworked everything. He said it was one of the most extensive rebuilds he had ever done. This incuded remilling the reciever slots, polishing the feed ramp, replacing grip mount with a milled one, pinning comensator, dishing the drum and magazine slots, adjusted chamber size and head spacing, rebluing and bringing everything up to spec. The gun looks and shoots better than when it was new! I took it to the range and fired 500 rounds with no stopages. Used two drums and ten different magazines all with no problems. The action is smooth as butter. He is truly a perfectionist. So Paul this is one very satisfied customer and I highly recomend you to anyone even remotely thinking of having TSMG work done. He is the best gunsmith I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. Sincerly, Chris Holtzclaw

Does anyone know if PK is a C2? That means he is licensed to manufactor class 3 guns. I need a good C2 for a Thompson project. Thanks Rob

No Rob, I have not paid the SOT to enable me to manufacture, the market is very small and with the current laws we “enjoy” it just isn’t financially viable. I think that is part of the intent.

However, there are legal paths that may be taken, depending on the project; send me a mail describing your project and let’s consider it.

Hi PK,

I was shooting my http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif sweetheart (US Model of 1928A1) yesterday when the "unthinkable" happened, one of my prized 50 round drums (loaded) fell off the table and crashed http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif down, 3' to the floor!!!!.. (Ouch, that hurt)

After a few choice http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif words, (that my wife doesn't like me to use) I picked it up and found that it has a little dent on the outside corner that is causing a problem with feeding. Can I fix this or will I need to ship it out to you to fit?

Thanks, http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif

I don’t know if you can fix it or not. If you have doubts, you probably shouldn’t try.

I do know both Merle and I have mandrels to take those dents out and this may be the most common problem drums have, they really don’t like being dropped and it seems it always happens when they are full (heavy) and they always seem to land on a corner. Go figure.

I would be happy to fix it for you, and so would Merle, if you wold like to send it out.

Yep, your rite, http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif knowing my luck, I'd make the dent bigger http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif the other http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif way. I could ship it out to Merle to fix, but he just finished reworking my WH 100 round drum http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif and did a dam good http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif job(She runs none-stop now, at 840 rounds p.m. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif )

I figure I would maybe share http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif some of my "NEEDED http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif REPAIRS" with other members http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif of the board like http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif yourself. You said, you might be interested in repairing it for me, that's http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif great and how much http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif do you think it would be "$" http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif ?

I only use FedEx "second day" when shipping my http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Thompson stuff.

Just for info, Merle is out of town until August 1st, but his neighbor is picking up any packages ( i.e. drums for repair ) that may be arriving during Merle's absence.

Best Regards

Randy
