Guest hardrede
http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif I suggest that we petition Kongress to rescind 922(o). As "bait" we can offer up ALL COLT THOMPSONS to the torch. I will personally oversee their respectful PLASMA CUTTING at the required 1/4" or better. If you want to sign on, let me know and we can get a petition started. You can also send me a pic of your COLT THOMPSON and I will draw the lines through the pic where I get to PLASMA CUT IT!!!! Let me know, this is a hot topic. Of course, you can sell the cut peices at $400 per ounce on E-Bay, at your discretion. Thanks for reading!!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif
fred
Sounds good to me! Since I have no Colt Thompsons, this form of gun control is fine with me. No one actually NEEDS a Colt Thompson. Sound familiar?

Walter63a
It sounds like a reasonable solution to a disgusting problem. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Offer up all Colt Thompsons to the torch, in ritual sacrifice, if Kongress rescinds the 1934 NFA Law, the 1968 Gun Registration Law, the 1986 New Manufacture/ Import Of Automatic Weapons/ Parts (for civilians only) Law, and finally, the much hated 1994 Crime Bill (banning certain "assault weapons" and large capacity magazines). http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Then we can start producing all the machineguns and submachineguns we could ever want or need, at a reasonable price. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif For good measure, we could get all the original Colt blueprints, tooling, etc. and start producing all new Thompsons of the same quality. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif Regards, Walter
Grey Crow
Walter, Now there is a real dream, all of those bills vanishing. Put me down for one or two of those newly produced Colt Tommy's. You had better start tooling up now, the orders will be flooding in.

Walter63a
Who says it's impossible? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif That is what all the experts said about going to the moon, splitting the atom, banishing Polio, ending the Worldwide plague of Small Pox, etc, ad nauseum (at one time). There is a fine line between, believing in a concept, whose time has come, and insanity. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif I think I'm still sane!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif Any comments! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Regards, Walter
Mike45
With anything being possible we should be able to find a way to get rid of the Shumer, Kennedy,Daschle,Fienstien,Klinton types in the crime capital. Any suggestions?

TAB
QUOTE You guys are forgetting one key element. The party with whom you would be making this wonderful agreement, a paragon of virtue, is known as "Your Government". You should be careful Phil, I was laughing so hard I almost forgot to read the rest of your post. I was watching, inadvertently, some CNN reports the other night while fiddling with my buckaroo leather. If I now stick my head in a gopher hole Walter, its because I don't want to hear the conceit and dissembling, whether from a pack of self-satisfied liberals who've no idea where their food comes from since they've never had to butcher what's on their table, or defenders of a king who seeks to bestride the will of his own people brandishing a quirt braided of fear and innuendo. Who also have no idea where their food comes from, but appear to get plenty of it nonetheless. Such leaves some of us sitting on a barbed wire fence ... I do admire my dog's detachment from these subjects, helps keep things in perspective. t
Walter63a
21 Smoker and Tab, I don't want the 'Secret Police' to grab your Colts, or those of anyone! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif I do admire the Colt TSMG as a functional piece of art. I was merely musing and entertaining some 'out of the box thinking' to see what you guys thought. I do, however, think it more important to eliminate those disgusting laws and acts (mentioned above), concerning machineguns, submachineguns, 'assault weapons', and large capacity magazines. The government can have my guns when they pry them from my cold dead hands! Also, the whole suggestion was meant to rib some Colt collectors who take themselves and Colt collecting, enthusing, too seriously. Seriously, no offense was intended. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Regards, Walter P.S. Tab, unless we all stay informed and politically involved, anything can and will happen, concerning the dismantling of the Bill of Rights! I also detest the condescension from the odious politicians and the obviously well-fed, know-it-all, talking heads, but we can't leave this Country in their hands. :-)
Walter63a
PhilOhio, your humor is not lost on me, but it was a bit of a rude awakening from a very pleasant dream, rather like my hot air balloon being shot down by a drum dump from the last remaing Colt Thompson, probably in Arthur's hands, just as I was approaching the end of the rainbow. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif I didn't see a pot-o-gold, but what appeared to be a land with all the Thompsons, BARs, MP-40s, M-14s, AK-47s, etc, etc, one could ever want, because they had an enforced Second Amendment. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Regards, Walter

Guest hardrede
Actually Hitler didn't make that quote, according to the NRA. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif And FWIW, History Channel showed Hitler the Tyrant the other night. One quote came to mind. "It is fortunate for Government that the people are dumb." That is in play TODAY!!!!!! If you doubt that, just look at John Kerry. Add the Fu Manchu, a pitchfork, and his face is exceedingly close to Der Teufel!!!!

TAB
That last sums it up well. Walter, no offence here, and the gopher hole remark was a bit tongue in cheek. We have a responsibility to vote, and hopefully after some thoughtfulness. For the reasons you pointed out. But it is a difficult choice these days. One thing about the dog Phil- he cares not what I say, but what I do. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif T
