Gunslinger
The asking price seems about right to me. Most converted HK94's I've seen lately have been priced between $4500 and $5500 so you're looking at picking up the sear for $24k-$25k.

83Baron
Appreciate all the input. As far as the gun itself, is the pdw more valuable than an a2,a3, etc. or pretty much just preference. Thanks
nuge
Yes, PDWs are a little more valuable due the premium on the SP89. For a newly made, all German pdw SBR from one of the top builders (TPM, TSC, TDyer, etc) expect to pay 7 - 8K. One with an original pdw barrel (very rare) could fetch over 9K. They are sweet guns, my favorite of the HK subguns.
Royzer
So dont know if im in the wright spot i was wondering if a M16 m16 auto sears has to be sold with a tax stamp or if it is juat a part at this point till put togeather ?
Speeddemon02
You are not very clear on what you are asking. What you mean by auto sear could be two different things which would be two completely different answers.

johnsonlmg41
the sear itself is just a part anyone can own and buy from several sources. If you own an AR-15 it becomes a little more gray. If you own the rest of the fire control parts specific to the M16 and an AR-15, it becomes even more gray. If you start milling and drilling a lower, that's a line you've crossed for sure. Since there are no registered sears that are not attached to lowers at this point because they all had to be installed in lowers in 1986, you can't get a stamp at this point. There are other "auto sear type" devices that can be sold separate from the lowers, but again those were all registered before the end of May 1986.
