Grey Crow Posted May 18, 2004 Report Share Posted May 18, 2004 A few photos of my Kahr 27 after a visit with PK, I had the bbl swapped for a 10.5", and the bolt hold open feature with Savage GI parts. It shoots fantastic off hand at 50, 100, & 200 yards. I did have an extractor break after about 1000 rounds of Wolf, but no problems with feeding or accuracy. colt21a Posted May 18, 2004 Report Share Posted May 18, 2004 yes grey crow you do own a thompson,and it looks nice........ glad you joined the club..................this ole tommygun guy or should i say "Chicago Typewriter Company"since i did own it..........{the company} be proud of what you have and don't let anybody knock it............semi-full auto whatever...they are all in the family........and have a true history back to the first one that came off the line..........i have been into these for over 33 years now,longer if i include the black patent pend tommy squirtgun in 1958.......wink!! and over those years have owned over 100 colt's..........and over 35 of the militaries and 1928's and semi's............................... and over all those years and thompson's i never said to somebody you have junk,or its not a thompson.............or what!! you only can buy that??? who care's you are enjoying in life what you like and if its thompson's go for it........... there are only a few out there that can match my history with the stuff,and at last count this past three years,three are now dead.......and the rest i can count on my two hand's..........{yep can still count} you will come across all kinds in the thompson market,for the most part they are all great guys and gal's..once in a while you might hit a stumbling block..............carry no ill will.it will pass,and life is way too short in the thompson process................to let sombody else.no matter if its a rude comment>>>>to destroy the tommygun dream's....... well off the platform for tonight................ enjoy what you have...............yes its a thompson........ and i will not ever argue with anybody on this fine thompson board about that.......i have too much fun reading the posts.from everyone..........wink!! take care,colt 21a..........RON Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The magazine is a 55 round made by Tactical Innovations 2 pre-ban XXX mags. skillfully welded together. Works very well! LOL, it's almost a mono-pod..... Grey Crow Posted May 19, 2004 Author Report Share Posted May 19, 2004 On the range the 27 did very well. (well until the extractor broke.) I lifted the imitation ladder site and was smacking a rock on the side of the mountain consistently at 200 yards. I was impressed at how much energy still existed from the small capacity and high bullet weight of the .45, it was neat seeing puffs of dust fly when they hit. Groups at 50 yards were good using the combat site as well. After re-chambering, installing the barrel, and adjusting for proper headspace, PK test fired it and zeroed for 50 yards. Has anyone ever met someone at the range that you wish you hadn't? This guy was there that really reminded me of "Pyle" from Full Metal Jacket. Scary very Scary! He said he was fired from the Marine Corps., even more scary.
