MG08
Just got my new MG08 (well, new to me) in from the Julia Auction. Needs a good cleaning, and a small part ( water hose connection for the water jacket in case some of you might have one) . What I found interesting and rather cool, is that the new MG08 was originally made very close to my old one . they are only 285 guns apart.... Both are 1918 DWM guns. I was going to re-sell the now one, but I am having second thoughts now. The new gun appears to be all matching except for the barrel and lock. (Russian 1910 in back - built By Bob Naess on an MG08 plate. A work of art by the way.)http://photos.imageevent.com/blinde/weponscollection/websize/DSC01229.JPGhttp://photos.imageevent.com/blinde/weponscollection/websize/DSC01232.JPG

RoscoeTurner
Looks very nice. I have a 1918 dated MG08 myself that I have been considering selling to buy another Russian Maxim. Currently have one without the tractor cap looking for another with it. Gotten hooked on those Russian Maxims recently.
