ODS9091
MG42's are really nice to shoot (but expensive)...The firing line will be busy all day, but don't miss the night shoot on Saturday (tracers,explosions,flamethrowers,etc......) JTinIN
There are two lower ranges, 1st one down on the left for subgun matches to watch (not sure of open runs left) and lowest range has more gun rentals and some years an open line that you can shoot your gun, a friends gun (i.e. if buying works well) by renting an slot (can be a waiting line). Standard warning bring money, ear & eye protection, boots for walking, some type jacket for night, rain cover, hat, back pack for carrying stuff (car/truck can be way far away) and more money ;-). Food is avaible, however, at times the line is long - so some hard rations at times help (with this amount of junk no wonder I need a pack .... LOL!). Cell phones do not always work - make contact with out of state friends before get off the main road. If you find a good deal, get it - as will be gone by the time you get back - very good deals are already done on Thursday - and oh ya don't forget to bring an extra grand plus credit card to buy gas & food with on the way back after you spend all the cash http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Edited October 7, 2005 by JTinIN

45wheelgun
I can't add much, but I can offer some advice based on mistakes I made my first trip. We arrived right as the "doors" opened, it was really hot, we spent the entire day there and had a blast. Sadly we were wiped out by 5 or 6 pm and could not stay for the night shoot. You might consider sleeping in on the day you intend to see the night shoot...
1921A
KCR "things to bring" Ballistic vest - RAIN GEAR - old pair of boots - tow strap for your vehicle unless 4x4. Oh and as previously mentioned lots of money. If you are going to be there Thursday sign up at Patton Museum tent for guided tours at Ft. Knox. They get you into places you can't otherwise visit without enlisting! See you there. Greg Fox
full auto 45
I probably WON'T be there this time. But I will be in Kentucky playing with machineguns! If something changes, I'll be hanging around OOW and Greg Fox pestering them. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif

full auto 45
Another good time at the creek. Wish I stayed longer. Saw Chopper28 and Roadking, along with TD and Brickyard. Pestered AMAFRANK for a while at the OOW table. Pressed the flesh with R. Lee again, no choke hold this time. Bought a T-shirt. Saw oodles of Thompson's and parts. And as usual, the Creek prices at 3-5K above normal prices. One dude had a WH in a FBI repro case with a WH drum and some stick mags for $18.5k . Now that is just rude. I watched several people literally laugh at the guy when he said the price. I just shook my head. One guy had a Colt with a repro case and a drum and 4 mags for the low low asking price of $46k. Gun looked to me at about 80% or less. It could have been all the dust on it. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif And remember at the shows, if it don't have a price on it, you ain't gonna sale it. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif
