JimFromFL
I need two or three 3 or 5 cell pouches. I don't want collector grade pouches. Repros or beat up pouches (even with tears) would work fine. These will be used to hold 30 round mags during matches and will be getting dirty and worn anyway. Hope to find some cheap. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif
PK.
I’d be interested too. Thanks for asking the question Jim. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif
TSMGguy
They aren't necessarily cheap, but I'll bet that the quality of the pouches and bags found below are excellent. Scroll down to "US Army Field Equipment", and then scroll down again for SMG magazine pouches and bags. I recently ordered a reproduction WWII combat ("tanker") jacket from these folks and the quality of it is just superb. http://www.wwiiimpressions.com I purchased a three pocket XXX pouch for much less from Gun Parts Corp. that works fine as well, item 512390. It is made of green canvas but is not meant to be a reproduction of the WWII article. They have other types of pouches on the same page. http://www.e-gunparts.com/products.asp?chr...SCELLANEOUS&MC= Hope you find something that works for you. Best regards. JimFromFL
Thanks! wwiiimpressions was a bit expensive. Looks like I will have to go with e-gunparts unless someone has an old beat up pouch they would like to get rid of.
Z3BigDaddy
OK what's cheep? The guy I bought my M11a1 380 from, has a stash of five mag pouches, I don't know how many, and he "indicated" he wasn't in love with them and would probably sell them... If there is interest I'll check on them.. Give me an idea of your buying price, and maybe I can work a deal... And I don't mean so you ca put them on ebaYâ„¢ and turn a profit on them.... LIONHART
These folks carry reproduction Thompson Canvas. Don't know about quality, but here you all go: http://www.bayonetinc.com/us_field_gear.htm
Fencer
That's the place I bought from a couple years ago. I could not find it again when this thread started. The TSMG bag like the one Tom Hanks used in SPR is very nice. I also got the mussette bag. The quality is very good, and I liked the fact that they marked the items in style with the originals but with a fake company, so they cannot be sold as originals. Most repos are still about $35 a pop. Since I plan on using mine and they will probably get dirty and beat-up, I am looking to pay like $35 for both. Actually, my birthday is coming up and my wife is buying some gear for me so this will take care of most of the expense. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif
Tman
Try 'What Price Glory'. Jerry Lee has some web gear on his site. I bought a 5 cell pouch from him at the opening of the D-Day Museum in N.O. I've been using it ever since without fail. Juan at WWII Impressions makes top notch stuff. He doesn't scrimp on materials and its made in USA therefore its reflected in his prices. You can't go wrong with him. Bayonet, Inc. can be hit or miss. I have seen his 5 cell pouch and mag bag and they look pretty good. Sometimes the colors are alittle off, though.
