Mojopin2010
I wanted to adjust my valuable personal property insurance for my M/G's, curious what the value of finished Medea M3a1 would be?. Hard to find a consistent data on this. I currently have it at 15,000.
komodoj
I would say if its a transferable and not a Postie about 23-26k! Imho.
Mojopin2010
It's a normal transferable, little pitting on the tube but is essentially a virgin M/G ( built by John Andrewski). Surprised that a Medea M3 would be worth that much since they considered the lower end 9f the M3 Grease Gun world. Mojopin2010
Fair enough. It is a hoot to shoot. After using a UMP-40 for work , it a definite change with the open bolt

StrangeRanger
My only problem now the lack of M/G freindly ranges in this particular part of PA. If you're in Western PA consider coming to Tusco, near New Philadelphia OH. We are very MG friendly. Our monthly steel shoots are over for the year but we'll be starting up again in April
Rekraps
My GL is insured for $32K. Why are you having issues shooting pistol cartridges F/A on a range? What is the issue?
Mojopin2010
Public Ranges they are banned and unless you own the land the only other option are private clubs ( since covid-19 most have maxed out memberships). They did authorize M/G's at the current club once a month but a RSO has to be present. I missed being out west. . . .
Mojopin2010
Definitely getting me thinking of increasing the coverage on the RR AR-15 some. I see people want 30,000 on G/B but I dunno of thats the new status quo.
NFA amnesty
Fair enough. It is a hoot to shoot. After using a UMP-40 for work , it a definite change with the open boltI have fired a Universal Machine Pistol in 40cal and did not care for the harmonics on it. Just my opinion, but was not a smooth shooting weapon for a closed bolt system. Was not my assigned weapon at work but we familiarize ourselves with all the weapons in our arsenal. I would rather shoot 9mm or 45 in a sub gun.
Mojopin2010
I used UMP-40's at work never cared for them. The rational at the time was they appeared less threatening than a AR-15 platform to the civilians.
Rekraps
So the RSO has to be looking down your ass when you shoot a sub gun, while all up and down the shooting line ding-dongs are waiving pistols all over the place and shooting like wild men. I am glad I live in GA where the range staff recognizes that most people who own sub guns know a little about range safety.
Mojopin2010
Pretty much. It is a old timer heavy range , the guys who shoot 3 rounds out of a bolt action and waddle down for 10 minutes to check the zero. We have a pistol and carbine range for more causal shooting now which helps. It was a battle to allow anything full auto in general so small battles and wins.
