Bayrain
Been looking all over for to buy a semi auto reproduction of the infamous of the PPSH-41. I only know of the wise lite rebuilds and the SR rebuilds, but no one has them in stock, makes them or they went from being $750 rifles to $2500 show room pieces. Also wanted to know the quality of the new PPS43C semi auto pistols, both 9mm and original 762 configuration by Pioneer arms and other companies. Heard their work was pretty bad, lot of feeding and jamming issues.
Oldtrooper
The PPS43C's are built well enough, but the bolts cause some issues with the guns. These guns were designed to fire from with an open bolt and the pressures are too high to handle the closed bolt. This causes primers to bulge badly, and I have seen an out of battery discharge. Firing a submachine gun with the open bolt the primers looked normal ... All in a flawed design. (Which is why I dumped mine)
anticus
The best PPS 43 semi to get was built by SMG, if you can find one. Quality and reliability is excellent , and the receiver doesn’t have that Frankenstein piece. It looks exactly like the original. They built them from imported kits here in the US, but they stopped to concentrate on their FG 42 project. I love mine. I don’t know of anyone currently making a PPsh 41 commercially. Bayrain
Ah couldn't find any information on SMG or a website or even on gunbroker or the like 1 or 2 other sites I use to look for these oddities. Having someone build one would be a good bet as well, more personal or unique instead of mass produced somewhat functional. Can't find any part kits builders anywhere. BPinFL
I've got a TNW PPSH-41 with 16" shroud and barrel I may part with. It is ammo sensitive, doesn't like hard primers. Maybe a stronger hammer spring will fix the problem.I see a kit on GB without the semi fire control parts for sale. Maybe check out they're completed sales to get an idea of price for a complete one.BP
Bayrain
I saw a demilled semi auto parts kit on GB but I'm not paying $1995 for a parts kit. Ends in a few days so I'll see were it lands but it's insane.
