hawksnest
You may want to buy the firing pin gauge. They are cheap - just keep an eye open.

mnshooter
Just measured a brand new in the wrap M1A1 "S" Savage bolt: .040" Protrusion, carefully measured with a depth mic. If it wasn't for Bridgeport's posts, constantly forcing me to dig through my parts, I'd forget even more about what I have. I did find a note saying I bought the bolt from Phil Askew, a few TATA's ago. (Now, who was driving on that trip...?)
