Happy Thompson birthday John Jr. Now that you are over 30 (and therefore over-the-hill and untrustworthy) welcome to the club. Hey, it beats the alternative. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif

Happy Birthday John, Jr.

Since a Birthday only comes once a year, I thought you needed to go back to the top of the board for this special occasion. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Thanks again

30 is the same as 20 with 10 extra years of learning a LOT. No telling what 50 will be like.

After 25 there are no significant birtdays till you can collect SS, IMHO.

Off to nevernever land.

Jr

Colt21: I read an inscription on a tombstone which is somewhat similar to your quote. "Remember man as you pass by, as your are now so once was I, as I am now so you will be, prepare thyself and follow me." How true!

hawksnest-- I've always loved that epithaft. I often query my students to see if they remember certain notable figures from the past. Its an exercise in seeing how old my age of 52 really is. I random pick names like W. Churchill or Lawerence Welk. There is a growing percentage who respond with blank expressions. Some day they will say, "Madonna, who?" Then, I 'll know its ready to cash it in.
