Bruce V 21/28
I make it a point to tell any elected offical that I am a single issue voter. I explain to them that if they are not smart enough to interprert the plainly worded Second Amendment the way it was written, then they most likley arn't able to interprert any of the other amendments properly either. Walter63a
I just got a very disconcerting call from the NRA, in Fairfax, Viginia, yesterday! The guy on the other end of the phone asked me to donate 75-100 dollars to help defeat an expansion of the Assault Weapons Ban. However, that was not the troubling part. What bothered me was that this guy, a fellow NRA member, and volunteer, did not know that the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban sunsets (ends) this year, without further legislation. He had already accepted defeat on that score! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif I told him that he was misinformed, and what we really need to worry about is some sneaky politician attaching a rider, renewing the Assault Weapons Ban, to some essential (like road building/repair, homeland security, etc.) piece of legislation. Try to educate everyone you know, guys! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif
