Old Numrich Catalog

Recommended Posts

How many of you can recall when Numrich were selling L Drums for $16, actuators for $5 and fore grips for 2.75? Piece of nostalgia, I guess from the 1950's, on eBay:

i have stacks of old numrich catalogs in my reference collection. most i picked for almost free at gun shows . but 10.00 for a single page..wow

The Numrich catalogs in your collection are likely not this early. This is a flyer, and is from about 1951 or 52. I have a few different versions of it in my collection. There are some marked with the Mamaroneck address only, and some that have the Mamaroneck address overstamped with the new West Hurley address, and some that have the West Hurley address with no mention of Mamaroneck.

Don't get too romantic. The min wage was about a buck an hour at the time. So that complete 1928 buttstock at $17.50 was still pretty pricey. Try going back in time and convincing your high school self to spend your burger-flipping money on drum magazines for an obsolete weapon instead of Saturday night dates with Peggy Sue or whoever you were dating back then. Time travel would be a piece of cake compared to re-directing all that testosterone.
