buzz
On a somewhat related note, I figured out how "certain vendors" grade their stuff. When they say that some scabby POS with rust rust freckles on it is "like new, the best of the best", they're referring to the rust, not the item. The rust is "like new". of course i'm not singling anyone out. cough sarco cough. Edited October 19, 2017 by buzz
huggytree
I have been very unhappy w sarco on almost every purchase. My favorite was a nos wood uzi stock. They tossed other items in the box w no padding around the stock. It arrived dinged to hell. Even when something is mint they wreck it. My recent Cetme kit was near worthless condition. More rust than gun Not a $1 from me again Edited October 20, 2017 by huggytree
lightguy
They are off and on. I bought 10 Argentine FAL kits from them a few years ago now and all kits were new and matching.Just like they said. Other stuff I'd had to work out on the phone. reconbob
I get stuff from Sarco all the time and it has been OK. The one time Ihad a problem I filled out the return form and they replaced right awaywith great parts. Story from the old days. When I was in college I got a part time jobat Sarco - I loved it. Heaven for a young gun fanatic. Like anywhere elsethere were times when we would stand around and BS. The generalmanager was a good guy and had spent many years in the business. Before he worked at Sarco he worked at a place called Eastern FirearmsCorp. in north NJ which was a surplus/gun parts business. Eastern got in a bigshipment of original leather holsters for the U.S. M1917 revolvers. Thiswas a big lot - many hundreds of holsters. So they graded them Grade I, II, III, and IV. Grade I was excellent and they went down incondition from there. They were able to sell all of the Grade I and Iibut they could not sell the Grade III and IV. Time goes by and themanager is now at Sarco and the Grade III and IV holsters from Easterncome in. And, as was standard at the time the entire lot was gradedGrade I, II, III, and IV and they we put up for sale....and they all sold. Bob
Roland the Thompsongunner
If i worked at sarco, i would probably never take a paycheck home. I would be working to pay my bill for all the stuff i "needed". Would be a bad thing
