Drill a hole through the barrel. Place a strong screw driver or metal rod through the hole so it looks like the letter 't'. Now the screw driver can be used as leverage to twist the barrel off.
Would this work or would the hole weaken the barrel where it ends up bending the barrel?
Would this work to remove a stuck barrel?

Jim, please don’t ruin a barrel that could be used by re-enactors for blank fire (saving a good one),
