Merry Ploughboy Posted January 11, 2013 Report Share Posted January 11, 2013 In answer to th eold question about patent life - my mistake. I looked at the chart wrong. Originally U.S. utility patents were for 14 years, but it had changed to 17 years by the 1900's. On the other hand, U.S. design patents still have a 14 year life.
