imageaudio
Most parts of the mp40 and STEN I own are standardized cleaning. Running patches through barrel, etc. However, wondering how the rest of you clean the internal receiver on these open bolt guns? I sprayed a bunch of Ballistol into mine and tried to scrub/wipe down with a bottle brush. Ran an old sock, etc. It works but is messy. Any suggestions? I'm thinking an oversized bottle brush with a long handle that I could scrub the internals and then place the sock over the brush kind of like a patch? But where to find that brush???? I'm sure there's probably a better way. What do others do?
Adg105200
Short of having a large sonic cleaner to put it in. I would use 12ga brushes and swabs. I think Birchwood Casey and Outers both make aerosol cans of gun cleaner(basically like brake clean) to help blast crud out. Andrew
