Haenelistklasse
Wow, you have a very nice MP40. May I ask what code it is? Sorry I can't help with the serial numbering of the magwells. If it helps you any, I own a 122 40 coded gun (early production Haenel ) and it is also serial numbered. If I had to take a GUESS, I would have to say it was very early perhaps late 1940 or early 1941 because at that time they were ramping up production. A person who is very knowledgeable is Alex Cruiming from mp40.nl. If you reach out to him, he is VERY helpful. And if you find out, could you post the info please? Take care, Haenelistklasse

Haenelistklasse
Well, you certainly don't need to apologize it is a very nice gun. If you get a chance, go on over to mp40.nl and kind of read about the history a bit. If you want a good book to read, you should think about getting the book The Schmeisser Myth. You can probably find it on amazon. It is excellent. Take care, Haenelistklasse
