That Winchester Service Grade ammo that pops up for like $239/1000 is pretty hard to beat.

Original 600 rd. cans of steel cased Evansville Army Ammunition Plant .45 ball for $60 each, delivered, from Paragon Sales. Of course, this was 30 years ago! (I thought 10 cents a round was highway robbery.)   :)

Fired 300 round of Sellier and bellot.

Have to say there was a lot more smoke than I expected. Smokeless powder and all.

Granted it was at an indoor range but geesh !

Am I overreacting ?

Do they all smoke like this ?

Most of my shooting is outdoors so perhaps its not noticed.

Have to say S+B gave me no misfires.

Even in the Detonics .45s which can be picky.

Just a lot of smoke.

Filled the gallery and everyone wanted to know ; "WTF was that !"

i recommend staying away from armscor .45.......ive found heavy  leading of the barrel after 200-300 rounds...requiring days to get all the lead out of the grooves...not sure what the issue is, but i switch to a case of S&B .45 this past range session and its back to a fairly clean bore after shooting....

i would not buy armscor again....ive also had bullets pushed too far into the case....so their quality control is not good...bought a couple thousand of the junk to save $10 a case....not ever again
