Made a video of my Lewis Gun

Recommended Posts

Very well done video. The one unique thing I notice is the powder smell/ warm gas coming back at the shooter through the fins. The only way that could be improved is if it were 2 stroke castor oil burning. They are starting to accumulate here like potato chips....you can't have just one once you've tried it. Now you have to get a US gun to go with your US Navy drum chest! Probably easier, and way cheaper to get a steel British chest though?

The under the gun drum view was cool to watch IMO. Thanks for posting.

Glad you liked the video. Are the handles rare to find? Came from a great owner that included basically all the accessories I could ever want. Very lucky and happy.

Very cool video!

I like the close-ups showing the feed and ejection.

You need to remove that carry handle and sell it to me!

Mike,

Very nice video and very nice Lewis.

When I take my Lewis to the club it draws a larger crowd of fans than any other auto firearm.

Congratulations.

PS A299 here.

PSS don't let anyone ever talk you out of the carrying handle.

Great video Mike. I agree with ron_brock. Makes me want a Lewis gun even more than I already did. Your videos are costing me a lot of money.....

The LEWIS carry handles are not easy to locate anymore, which is what prompted my (not serious) comment.

There is also an adapter to mount the LEWIS in a Vickers mount.

I was offered one of those once, but I didn't have the $2500 asking price.

I do appreciate you making and sharing that video of your gun.

They are a classic piece of military history!
