dalbert
Here's a topic I've never seen discussed before...How many different manufacturers of Mk4 Sten Magazine Fillers do you think there were? I've been meaning to take photos of these since I picked them up at Knob Creek last October. Heaven only knows that I don't really need all these different versions, but when I saw different markings, I had to buy them. I bought 6 different types there, then found that the one I already had in my collection for 20+ years was unmarked. http://www.sturmgewehr.com/dalbert/MGBoards/Loader_Comparison_Marked.JPG From left to right, the manufacturer markings are as follows: 1. Unmarked2. S.S / W3. S684. LB.5. D.E. Ltd6. B&J.S. Ltd N. 152 (in a circle)7. B&J.S. Ltd N. 152 (On side, in a line, with a crown) Let's see if we can find any other marks among our individual collections...feel free to follow-up to this post. AlanDavid
From Ian Skennerton's, "British Small Arms of World War 2", we have the following. S68 - manufactures code:Lines Bros LtdTri-ang WorksMorden RoadMertonSw19London. LB: Almost certainly Lines Bros, again. They made the Mk111 Sten gun as well. N152 - manufactures code:B & J Sippel LtdCadman StreetSheffield D E Ltd:Not certain but could be:Dashwood Engineering LtdEmpire WorksCroydon RoadPenceSE 20London S.S/W:Cant find anything that is an obvious match. Any one else got more variations to add to David's? Regards Alan DavidSydney
BigCity
Mine is unmarked but the brass handle looks like it has never been used. Possibly an after war issue.

dalbert
BigCity, Can you post a photo of your Mk4 Magazine Filler with the brass handle? David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.comdalbert, emailed 3 photos to you.John John, Thanks for forwarding the photos, however yours is a different type of magazine filler...an Mk2. Yours is officially a "Filler, Magazine, 9mm Machine Carbine, Mk2." The brass lever is standard on that model. All the Mk4's I've seen so far have steel levers. BigCity
So this is a war issue mag refiller then. I thought it was maybe after war issue. Also, IMA still has these for sale on their site.

Balder
Which is older? I would guess the brass one which I also prefer in use. Please excuse the rather crappy picture quality, best I could do right now Balder Edit: There was supposed to be a picture here, of a brass handle magazine filler as well as the one discussed above. No direct picture upload to this site? Edit 2: Trying Photobucket: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v408/Balder_/STEN-gun/P1170763_zpsnk7f2dxa.jpg Edited November 12, 2017 by Balder
