Bill in VA Posted September 28, 2005 Report Share Posted September 28, 2005 (edited) Speculating on the origin of these two M1s' drum cuts would be like trying to count angels on a pin head, but FWIW, it's not difficult operation to make the mods. As an aside, when I was in England this past summer, I found a place near South Moulton that had deac'd '28 TSMGs at £450, IIRC. They had a several of them and all were as nice and cherry-looking as could be, these guns being some of the Lend-Lease '28s originally given to the USSR.
