JohnnyF
Awaiting my stamp approval and Im about 3-4 mos into the approval process. In the meantime I came across this site and have started the learning process as to all things Thompson. So I was wondering what are the recommended changes, upgrades and /or tweeks that are suggested for this brandy new 1927A1 Auto Ord SBR. Much appreciated. Merry Ploughboy
Welcome to the website! The first change that comes to mind is to modify the magazine catch (or get a replacement catch and modify it) so that unaltered WWII vintage (so-called G.I.) magazines can be used. The WWII Thompson mags are still readily available and at a relatively low cost. Best of luck and enjoy many safe and pleasant shooting experiences with your Thompson. peter kohler
ez pull springs, modifided mag catch, and selector switch installed to make the drum installation and removal a breeze. dan block did all this for me and it looks and works great! giantpune
I got the ez springs from dan in mine. Definitely recommend. What's this about the selector switch for drum mags? That sounds interesting. I did a mount and swapped the lyman sight for a red dot. And the barrel with be threaded for a suppressor. Not even remotely historically accurate, but its just a fun range toy.
