Greasing A Drum

Recommended Posts

I have a drum greaser.

I have 15 early drums - drums were greased at the factory and for the most part, never again - 1921 to 1939

The grease is long gone and you grease to avoid spring damage, and priovide for smooth operation.

Using the drum greaser, the grease goes thru a zirk into the drum spring area. I use white lithem grease - only because it will not stain like the black. One time should last for years. Do it more often if it turns you on!

Why do you grease? Because any investment is worth protecting. Why do you clean your gun?
