Woody
Is there any difference between "Bright" nickel bolt and the "Blued" bolt? Both are marked S for Savage. Which one is better to have? Or are they both pretty much the same? Thanks for your input.

Chopper28
Woody they both are technically the same. One does not work better than the other. The bright bolt is probably harder to find today. I like the look of the bright bolt but they both work equally well. Sportsman Guide had the blued bolts for 39.95 some while back. I got one and it was a Savage and unfired.
JimFromFL
I have visited other boards (both firearm and video game related) where there are numerous seasoned people who tend to be rude when you ask what you believe to be a simple honest question. It appears everyone is supposed to be an "expert". Sort of makes it frustrating for any new members. To answer your question.... This question has been asked a few times before and the consensus is that they functionally are the same. I have never used a blue bolt only because I kind of like the looks of the "bright" bolt.
