The connection for the 08/15 steam hose is just flat out preposterous. With all the examples available at the time of simple and reliable connections, they came up with that.
Over the years I've seen a variety of materials used from epoxies put in and leveled on set, cork, different rubber, synthetic and other materials, endgrain wood, leather, soft plastics, on and on. I believe end grain wood was used originally, hard leather and a rubber gasket material.

In my experience, no one has mass produced a durable and properly fitting gasket. Here's an opportunity for some one.

Someone with CNC skills could program to make an accurate cutter for die cut them out.

when in college, I had a jov at a coat hanger factory in west Oakland, CA, Cleaners's Hangers and my first job was cutting stacks of paper for the foldover jackets on hangers which were then printed with the specific cleaner's ad. The stack was 12" high cut with a single die in the shape of the unfolded jacket. The wall of the die was 1" thick with the the inside cutting edge about a 30 degree angle. A hydraulic press snapped it through the stack in half a second with fifteen tons of pressure. What fun.......
Yes, coat hangers are actually manufactured and don't generate spontaneously......

Do you have a drawing of the gasket specs?

The gasket appears to be a simple flat piece of rubber held in by the two screws. If anyone has dimensional drawings, or a spare fitting that I could borrow, I'll try to 3d print it out of Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). This is a flexible plastic, and others have used it for gaskets. I extrude at 200c to it should stand up to steam & boiling water. Ya never know until ya try!
