Thompson L Drum Value

That listing shows the standard packaging for WWII drums. There is an outer sleeve with a heavily taped edge, an inner sleeve that wraps around the drum, and a separate square of cardboard on the side with the winding key.

 

I have seen NIB examples from Seymour and Auto-Ordnance/United Specialties. I have not seen boxed examples of Crosby or WPS, but I suspect they all used the same packaging.

 

Later Numrich packaging was a non-sleeved example that was rectangular with folded cardboard bumpers at each end.
