Waffen Und Bier
I sold a double barrel carrier about 5 years back for about $325. It had original wartime paint and sling. It was kinda dinged and scratched. Can't advise on the other things. Do you have a spare barrel change rug?
ron_brock
Could you post a photo of the gunners kit with contents? I think I have one but I believe my pouch is empty with just a wooden block. I wondered what they were worth. Ron
Black River Militaria CII
The contents and design of the gunner's pouches evolved over quite a few years starting with their use with the MG13s. Depending on the date of the issue, the MG34 and 42 pouches held different items. Generally, for the MG34, the contents were as follows: BoltAA sightHot barrel padBroken case extractor: several different typesSmall plastic "flowers of sulphur" container (now very rare)Oil can: several different typesMuzzle cover; either rubber cap or small bagsChamber cleaning brush or toolStarter tab for belt Usually the pouches in the US were incomplete and had to be brought up to having correct contents for the period of use of the pouch.Hope this helps.
