tricky9914 Posted March 12, 2017 Author Report Share Posted March 12, 2017 (edited) Both DOT and CRA were the common contractors for the tankers. It was common practice for them to take other ground gun configured MG34's and retrofit them with tanker shrouds, per Folke's book. I have found at least 3 other examples of dfb "tankers" with eagle code waa82 on the shroud, which was the shroud subcontractor. There is a discussion about it on gunboards under the "machine gun" topic forum. This example in the video is all matching other than top cover, bolt and barrel (so the shroud and receiver are matching.Thanks!
