Have No Knowledge of this Seller Nor The Gun But Thought it may be of Interest to the group.

https://www.gunbroke.../item/782838709

Suggestion to All Members- when doing a link to a Auction:gunbroker etc. , that link will expire 90 days or so after the auction.

For purposes of posterity, i loaded the pictures into imageshack, a hosting service. Then i pasted the links in Forum Code into

this thread. Then the pictures are big compared to a picture from your desktop and they will remain in this thread for posterity.

If you want to know how to do that, send me a PM. Took me a big 5 minutes!

Looks all original but percentage of finish is disappointing

Lower is discolored and both show lots of wear.

I wonder what it would appraise at??

M17ap,

I had my Gordon book out for something else this morning, so I looked up your number.  It says the following for #1897:

"21A  Found with 21 barrel and no sight.  Re-blue, with 28 barrel.  Private collection, 1992."

That latest one is not impressive in the least. And shows what $55,000.00 will get you today.looks like never saw and real care there at all.

Shows how the "Thompson Mind" out there thinks anything will move now.

I don't wish them any luck on a sale.

That is true real desperado Highway Robbery   today. and throwing in four 30 round mags.WOW great historY there. but the rubber room egg crate case has that sense of History to it.

SHOWS you lack of imigination for sale and they can care less about the history or the Thompson itself to even clean and oil it up.

The early 3 digit 21As are very desirable but any 65% to 70% Colt's with wood issues at $55,000 is a stretch in my opinion. Thanks for posting about NO 303.
