MkV Sten Gun markings.

I cant see M70 in the photo but if present this is the manufactures code for E. David & Sons (Evercool) Ltd, Reditch. They made triggers, mag catch & platform and ejectors.

The overlaid VS is the logo for Vi Spring Products who made mag components, springs and breech blocks. Not all companies used the S M N code system. All the above is in Skenneton's book on WW2 British small arms.

Vi Spring Co is still in existence having been founded in 1901. They make custom made beds.

There is actually a new Skennerton book out with updates/2nd edition "The broad arrow MK 2" with all the codes and marking descriptions. I haven't managed to get too deep in yet, but it's a great reference to have on the shelf just for such occasions!

Still looking for a copy of the "Armorer's perspective No 4 (t) sniper rifle"
