.223 Thompson

Recommended Posts

So my old GI 28 (an old Navy gun no less..) was sitting in the gun cabinet next to this pretty little M16... And there was a virgin Anderson lower there too.. Well the guns got to fooling around a little and they had a threesome and created a grip to go on the Anderson lower.. So I got to thinking I should just make a Thompson conversion to .223. What do you guys think?

An alternate project would be to 50 GI. Some one already makes the 1911 in that caliber and there a Glock conversions as well. A Thompson pistol or SBR to pair up would shake the foundations of sanity!

Nahhhh..... make it in .458 Socom . Keeps the .45 caliber ( although .458 rather than .451 ) and already uses pistol powder and LP primers and does really good in 8-10 inch barrels ( 500 gr bullets pushing 12-1300 ish [ very much like a 45-70 trapdoor load ] ).
