I have a newer Kahr 1927 and got one of their 100 round drums. Maybe I'm using it wrong cause mine holds like 102 bullets. :D

The gun and the drum work perfectly. My only complaint is actually the drum is physically too big. You have to really reach around it to get your font hand on the fore grip. I haven't shot a 50 round one, but I imagine it would be less awkward reaching around it.

Post a photo of your loaded drum so we can see how you have it loaded.

I think this is 101, and still an empty space up at the top for another.

Here's a shot showing the drum and the foregrip. You really have to reach around the drum to hold it. Ignore the long barrel. Waiting for SBR stamp.

No idea why...

Seems to work perfectly fine with one in the 5th hole, counter-clockwise. If I had to guess, I'd say it was more to do with keeping it a nice round 100 number rather than the drum not functioning correctly. The gun was designed by a military man and marketed towards government bodies. They like nice simple math. Its a lot easier to do division and multiplication if the drum holds 100. Two 50 round boxes of bullets fills up a drum. A case of 1000 rounds fills up 10 drums. 101 is a prime number and would confuse the shit out of the government bean counters.

IMO, its no accident that mags hold 10, 20, 30, 50, and 100 rounds.
