gtbehary
I was high bidder on a sling that came off of a Thompson that was purchased in Canada. Instead of the normal sheetmetal ends, this one has more of a dog leash type of snap. Is this an actual Thompson sling? There are pictures on the Ebay link below. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2225889978
John Jr
Looks like a dog leash to me dude. I have never seen one like it. Jr
TAB
There's a Canadian forum: Canuck WW2 They might know, it looks like Mills webbing, but not something I've seen before. Could be some European cast off as well.
Tman
The strap is from a rig for US field phone wire. I have that strap on my spool of wire and its dated from the 70's.
gtbehary
Thanks for all the replys...I will probably put it on one of my Ak's. I will keep the standard web sling on my Thompson. I don't have a field phone, but I do have a dog. george
