rpbcps
Yes, FranceIt is a nice addition to your collection. It is a pity it was not discovered, and deactivated (de-mil), prior to the recent deactivation changes in Europe though, they were kinder to the collectors. The finish on yours is much better than the 1921 in my collection. Mine probably spent many years hidden underground, in far from ideal storage conditions in Ireland, rather than in an stored in an armoury. Big Al
Is the rear sight leaf graduated in yards or meters? If in meters, it will be so marked at the top of the leaf.
paulsavoy
Seems it is in yards, all Lymans I have seen are same, so I really do not know the difference.Could someone post a photo with this specific inscription ?
Big Al
It will be marked with the word "METERS" in all capital letters at the very top of the sight leaf, and I just looked through the photos and saw a picture of the sight leaf with the slide at the bottom leaving the upper portion exposed. They are out there. Class 3 dealer Reuben Mendiola had a Thompson with a "METERS" rear sight at one time, and one or two members have reported seeing them on other guns.
